Press Release: Independent Oil & Gas Association of New York Praises Recent Penn State Natural Gas Study

Lake View, NY – The Independent Oil & Gas Association of New York (IOGA of NY) praised the economic study by the Pennsylvania State University for the Marcellus Shale Committee and the Pennsylvania House Natural Gas Caucus.

 

According to the study, Marcellus Shale development will pump $14.17 billion into the state’s economy in 2010 and create more than 98,000 jobs, while generating $800 million in state and local tax revenues.

Press Release: IOGA of New York Estimates 300 Marcellus Wells to Raise $1.4 billion, Provide Hundreds of Jobs

Lake View, NY – The Independent Oil & Gas Association of New York (IOGA of NY) estimates the positive economic impact of 300 Marcellus Shale wells to easily reach or exceed $1.4 billion. Broken down, the wells are projected to provide $108 million to landowners, $19 million in real property tax relief for municipalities, $32 million in state tax revenue, and provide hundreds of new jobs.
